Since 1992, DEWERT has belonged to the Phoenix Mecano group of companies. This merger opened up whole new possibilities in terms of the worldwide growth that began in 1993 with the expansion of the sales & distribution department. Today, DEWERT has 30 agencies all over the world ready to work for you.

A keen awareness of safety has always been an integral part of company philosophy at DEWERT. This is not surprising when you consider its sector and this is one reason why it runs its own TÜV-certified product safety laboratory. With the development of drives for the highly sensitive healthcare sector, this decision soon paid off.

The DEWERT HQ in Kirchlengern is mainly responsible for the production of prototypes and smaller batches. This means that, by the time a new item goes into serial production, a team made up of experienced specialists will have carried out all the required market analysis, material tests and product trials. All such tests and trials take place in our own special laboratory. The result: optimised development cycles and faster market maturity. Customised solutions are our speciality.

From 2003 onwards, DEWERT set about increasing its commitment in the international market in general and the Far-East in particular. To meet the challenge of the ongoing globalisation, sales companies were set up in China, Taiwan and Korea in 2004. At the same time, the market position of the Shanghai production site, which was founded in 1996, was consolidated.
